Don Hulsey and his wife Aleta are long-time missionaries in Africa, serving from 1993 – 1996 in Zambia and in Mozambique since 1996. Prior to 1993, Don served as a youth minister in both Kentucky and Florida for 11 years.

Don is a graduate of Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee. They have three children, Zac, Joshua and Keri. Zac is currently a student at Christian Academy in Mozambique (CAM), the OMS-related missionary children’s school. Aleta is a long-time teacher at CAM and is currently teaching fourth and fifth grades. The Hulseys are long-time friends of OMS, and Don has many years of experience directing a Bible school in Mozambique for the mission, Boa Nova Para Africa and is intimately familiar with many of the training materials being used at the OMS seminary.

He is well respected in Mozambique and understands the unique challenges of theological education in Mozambique, having conducted pastor training throughout this beautiful country. Boa Nova Para Africa is dedicated to pastor training, leadership training and church planting and has worked throughout Mozambique, including Nampula, Niassa, Cabo Delgado, Manica and Maputo provinces. OMS International is excited at this new partnership with Boa Nova Para Africa, as together we reach the nations for Christ.
